10年前に行った時は、行きたい場所の情報をメモしたり地図をプリントアウトしたりしたけど、今じゃスマホひとつでそれができちゃう。便利な世の中になったもんだ。
日本から海外に行くのも、前は携帯電話をレンタルが主流だったけど、最近はwi-fiルーターにかわってきてるね。
数日の旅行だったり、何人かでいっしょに行動するならみんなで使えて便利。会社選ばないと高いけど、自分の携帯をそのまま使えるのは手軽で安心。最近は、海外ローイングで高額請求をされないように「日本の設定からここを変えて使ってね」っていう冊子も渡してくれる親切な会社も増えてるわ。
©️nasust自分の行った場所の話しかできないけど、ロンドンやパリやマドリードはSIMカードを買ったほうがwi-fiルーター借りるより安かったけど、現地で買うのは面倒だよね。やっぱり現地にwi-fiがあったら、そっちでなんとかできたら安上がりでストレスない。
行く気で調べてみたら、台灣は無料wi-fiが充実してるそう。
海外から来る人が使うには、それなりの手順が要るそうなので探してみよう。
「台灣 wi-fi」で検索したら、こんなサイトhttps://itaiwan.gov.tw/en/
が出てきた。
すすんでみたら、これは現地の人の利用するサイトみたいで、FAQクリックしたらこんなの出てきた。
Q : Is iTaiwan service available to foreign visitors?
A : If you are a foreign visitor and would like to use iTaiwan service, please use iTaiwan online registration and online activation service to apply your dedicated iTaiwan account.
Firstly, please apply for your iTaiwan account at the iTaiwan online registration system for foreign visitors. Effective use of time is 30 days, if necessary, be extended to 60 days to 90 days.

Secondly, after arriving in Taiwan and going through immigration, you can activate your iTaiwan account online by using the airport’s free WiFi connection or any iTaiwan hotspots to get on online activated website Once completing the online activation, you can be expounded by the service personnel in Taiwan.

Thirdly, you can present your passport or entry permit (for Mainland China residents) at a Travel Service Center located at any major airports, train stations or mass rapid transit (MRT) stations in Taiwan. After the service personnel applies for an account number for you, you can use the account number to access the Internet at any major indoor public area in Taiwan free of charge. You can also use a native mobile phone number or a native prepaid card number to register a account for the use of iTaiwan service.
